Dreamy Chicago

Dreamy Chicago is an on-going project that I started working on in the summer of 2005. During the past six years I began exploring photography in a new way. I used Polaroid and toy cameras such as the Holga to help me to see this art form and the world in a different way. Dremy Chicago take place in the downtown streets, parks, niegborhoods like West Town, Buck Town, the South Loop, and the lakefront. Pictures were made by putting a pinhole in the body cap of a digital SLR camera in an attempt to show how life looked through my eyes before I first started wearing prescription glasses in high school. By combining traditional and modern digital techniques I am blending the past with the present to create a unique and personal way of seeing the world.
